Vintage 9ct Yellow and White Gold Ribbed Crossover Ring, London Pre 1974

Three boldly ribbed bands intertwining in a crossover design that has a strong modernist edge to it,  the ribbing so pronounced the bands almost read as coiling snakes. The central band in white gold, flanked by two in warm yellow, the contrast between the two golds adding depth and drama. The ribbing catches the light from every angle, giving the ring a texture and sculptural quality that plain bands simply do not have. The face measures 8.40mm across, tapering to a comfortable 3mm at the rear.
