Layaway at Celestine and Opal

Love a piece but want to spread the cost? Our layaway plan lets you reserve any item in the shop with a 25% deposit and pay the balance over 90 days — no credit checks, no interest, no rush.

How it works

Reserve your piece — At checkout, choose the layaway option and pay a 25% deposit to secure your item. It is held exclusively for you from that moment and removed from sale immediately.
Pay in instalments — You will receive an email with a payment link when your next payments are due. You won't need to do anything else.
Want to pay it off sooner? Just drop us a message and we'll sort it.
Your piece is dispatched — Once the final payment is made, your jewellery is carefully packaged and sent to you fully insured.

Payment schedule

Payment 1: 25% deposit — due at checkout
Payment 2: 25% — due 30 days after deposit
Payment 3: 25% — due 60 days after deposit
Payment 4: 25% — due 90 days after deposit

The details

Deposit: 25% of the item price, paid at checkout. Remaining balance due in three equal monthly instalments over 90 days. You will receive an email payment link. Your item is reserved and will not be sold to anyone else during your layaway period. Layaway is available on all items across the store.

Shipping costs

If shipping costs apply they will be added to your final instalment invoice only.

Late or missed payments

Instalments are due strictly on the dates set out in the payment schedule. Payments must be received on or before the due date to keep your layaway active.
If a payment is not received by the due date, we will contact you once. Payment must then be made within 7 days of that contact. If payment is not received within this window, the layaway will be cancelled and the item released back to sale. The deposit is non-refundable. Any instalments paid beyond the deposit will be refunded in full.
Extensions are not offered as standard. If you contact us in advance of a due date, we may agree a short extension at our discretion, but this is not guaranteed and any agreed extension will be confirmed by us in writing.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel your layaway please get in touch as soon as possible. The 25% deposit is non-refundable, as your piece is removed from sale and held exclusively for you from the moment you commit. Any instalments already paid beyond the deposit are fully refundable.
