VICTORIAN SILVER BERRY DROP COLLAR NECKLACE - RIBBED BELCHER - 18.5 INCHES

Sale price£435.00 GBP

A late Victorian silver collar with the kind of botanical drama that defines the period at its best. Substantial ribbed belcher links sit at a very wearable 18.5 inches — longer than most collars from this era, which typically sit tight at 16 inches. That extra length matters. This one rests properly along the collarbone, giving space while still delivering impact.
At 55.3 grams it has real weight and authority. Along the lower edge runs a row of applied leaves finished with full rounded berry drops — generous, sculptural, and completely intact. Applied leaf and berry elements are often the first details lost over time. Here they remain exactly as made.
Complete Victorian silver berry collars in this condition are increasingly scarce. This is late Victorian to early Edwardian botanical jewellery at its most confident.
Unmarked but tests as silver · Late Victorian to early Edwardian circa 1890 to 1910 · Length 18.5 inches · Weight 55.3g · Ribbed belcher links 6.45mm · Total width 1.6cm · Berry and leaf drop detail intact
