Exquisite. So detailed — and that was before I realised quite how versatile this chain actually is. A Victorian 9ct gold longuard chain in two sections, each 33 inches, joined at either end by a bolt clasp.
Wear it super long at the full 66 inches. Double wrap it and adjust each loop to whatever length works for you. Triple wrap it the same way. Separate the two sections and wear them as two individual matching 33 inch chains. Connect one Albert to a bolt clasp for a 34 inch double strand. Or detach the Albert completely. Six completely different ways to wear one chain, each fully adjustable to suit how you want to wear it that day.
The chain is a double oval figure of eight link in pale cool 9ct yellow gold. Eighteen pierced ornate bar links with an openwork lattice design run throughout, nine on each section, so whichever way you wear this the detail is evenly distributed. It is the kind of consideration you only find in Victorian chain making.
