Rare Reversible Victorian Rolled Gold Chain, Ornate Leaf, Rosette and Star Detail

I am always on the lookout for antique rolled gold, if it is good. This one is exceptionally past good. Finding one this intact, this intricate, in this condition was genuinely a dream come true. Flip it one way and you have an ornate Victorian fantasy of leaves and rosette discs with star cutouts, every link a tiny piece of decorative work. Flip it the other and you have a completely different chain, a dense interwoven link design with an entirely different character. Two chains, one piece, and the small amount of patina it carries only adds to that antique gold warmth.
The two large bolt clasps are not just functional. Wear it with one fastened and one hanging free, ready to load with charms, or fasten both for the full length whilst still keeping those charm-ready bolt clasps on show. XRF tested to confirm the rolled gold is 9ct throughout. No hallmarks, but the design is unmistakably Victorian.
