Georgian Silver, Enamel and Paste Heart Drop

We've all seen the period dramas, a little jewel threaded onto a velvet ribbon, worn high at the throat above a heaving bosom, catching candlelight in every corner shot. This tiny cobalt blue enamel heart, set with a paste stone and hung with a second sparkling paste drop below, is exactly that piece, silver arms on the back built specifically for the ribbon to pass through, made to be worn just that way, or perhaps today with a slim chain slipped through. A tiny but fascinating piece of history that has survived the centuries.
As you can see from the photos this can be easily worn on a thin chain, I simply added two small silver jump rings to the arms and threaded through a chain. I will send two of these jump rings with the pendant so that you can have this option.
