ART DECO GOLD DOUBLE SIDED BLOODSTONE CARNELIAN FOB - RESERVED
A double sided Art Deco fob in 9ct gold, Chester hallmarked 1930, and one that gives you a choice every time you put it on.
Bloodstone on one side, carnelian on the other. Flip it depending on your mood, your stack, or what you are wearing. Two completely different tones in one piece, the deep green and red fleck of the bloodstone against the warm burnt orange of the carnelian. Both stones are in very good condition with some light scratching and just the tiniest chip to the edge of the bloodstone.
The thick gold band encasing the stones gives it more weight and presence than you expect at this size. The scroll top adds just enough detail to lift the shape without overcomplicating it.
The Chester assay office closed in 1962. Finding a piece with a crisp Chester hallmark is always a moment!
