ANTIQUE YELLOW 9CT GOLD TULIP LINK CHAIN

Twenty two inches of tulip link in bright, clear Victorian gold. The characteristic waisted geometry of each link creates a constant interplay of light and shadow as the chain moves. At 17.69g and 3.4mm this is a chain that makes its presence felt, sitting beautifully at the chest whether worn alone or layered.

This chain was almost certainly cut down from a longer guard chain, a common and practical Victorian reworking. It has been fitted with a large spring clasp that makes an ideal charm stacking point, clip on a fob, a pendant, a locket and this chain earns its keep.

Over a century old and in excellent condition throughout.
