ANTIQUE 9CT LATE VICTORIAN BOW LINK CHAIN - ALBERT CLASP reserved
An antique 9ct gold late Victorian to early Edwardian bow link necklace in a link you almost never see. Twenty nine inches of continuously flowing gold that somebody sat and made by hand.
The links are the thing. Elongated bow shapes tapering through the centre and flaring softly at each end, connected by individually formed twisted spiral connectors, each one neatly closed. The pattern repeats across the full 29 inches without interruption. This was not churned out.
At 29.7 grams it has real substance on the neck. It slips straight over the head and the Albert clip at the base allows you to add a significant pendant or charm if you choose. Originally this chain would have carried something important. Today it is the piece that makes serious collectors and charm stackers look twice.
The quality is stamped in — literally. The Albert clip carries the 9 375 mark and every other ribbon link along the full length is stamped the same. Consistent gold content struck throughout rather than only at the clasp. That level of production quality across a chain of this age is exactly what serious buyers look for.
