Bright buttery yellow, deliciously 15ct and XRF tested, this bangle centres on a star-shaped cluster of delicate turquoise cabochons set against the creamy white of seed pearls, framed by scrolling gold work on either side. It comes with genuine provenance, complete with its original box from Marcks & Co Ltd, Bombay & Poona, a high-end retailer of bespoke jewellery, watches, clocks and silverware operating in late 19th and early 20th century India, with a clientele that included the royal courts. Their pocket watches were legendary enough that the Nizam of Hyderabad is said to have once bought an entire display case simply by pointing at it with his gold cane. Hinged construction with a snap clasp and safety chain makes it easy on, easy off, and it sits perfectly on the wrist, comfortable for a small to medium size.
